I think these are the cutest things ever! Jewelry, and other items, made from real Polaroid images!

I love the look of Polaroid pictures; the old style, with the big white border perfect for jotting down quotes and dates and other clever things. Makes me think of being a silly kid and wanting snapshots of every goofy pose my sister and I made!

The pieces by Lauren of Lauren Beacham Photography (Jerseymaids on Etsy) are a far cry from those old Polaroid shots! The photography is modern, gorgeous and translates perfectly to whimsical necklaces, earrings, and rings!

These "Gearrings" by Ten 64 are definitely unique, but I have to say I was particularly taken by the name. Gearrings... perfect! Tiny antique watch gears in tiny watch part vials made into earrings!!

Today's post features the amazing feltwork by Chimera. Now, there's a bit of feltwork out there to be sure, so it's takes a bit to stand out and I think some of the work done by Chimera does just that.

I adore the felted "diorama" or play mat. It's art and fun. I love looking at it, it takes me away to fanciful places in my mind and makes me want to crawl in and explore -or at least go read The Hobbit! LOL.

I'm really infatuated with anyone who can make something so cool out of something old or upcycled. It's unique, earth friendly, & artsy - all things I love.

I also like featuring someone who is a newcomer to Etsy. I know how great it feels to be noticed when you've just opened shop. A definite boost while waiting for your first sale. I think BoosRecords will do well!

I love the concept for this notebook - you don't have to waste notebook pages doodling, you can just doodle with the legos!!! and not only kid's love Legos, my husband is a fanatic and would love this notebook. It'd also be great for college students!

My first feature is of the items that really inspired me to make this blog. They were the items that made me say "Wow, way more people need to see how unique and creative these things are, what can I do?" and so Handmade Unique was born.

Rena, of spluloacle on Etsy creates fantastic purses, wallets and decor from duct tape! Only duct tape!! and they are amazing, just as beautiful, or more so, than many traditionally made items. She also has a great blog that showcases and explains her work.

My Inspiration for Handmade Unique

Since joining the ranks of online indie artisans a few months ago, I've encountered so many absolutely creative people making fantastically unique items.

After quite a while seeing all these creations and having only my husband to share them with, I decided to make this blog as a way to show the world.
